Holy Trinity Thanksgiving Lunch
Freshly and safely prepared and served by parishioners—In this year of limited travel and the need to distance in order to protect one another’s health, your parish family is working to make the holidays as special as possible. A team of parishioners will prepare and plate Thanksgiving Dinner to be enjoyed in one of three ways:

Option 1
Make a reservation and come eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal - served at noon. Bring your own tables, plates, cutlery (and serving ware if desired) and set up for your meal on the trinity lawn. Each group will be socially distanced from others. Our team will prepare the meal taking all plausible health precautions. This option is weather permitting

Option 2
Make a reservation to pick up a traditional Thanksgiving meal that will be brought to your car, 11:00 - 11:45. Our team will prepare the plates taking all plausible health precautions preparing the boxed lunch.

Option 3
We will deliver your meal(s) to you if you just indicate in your reservation.
Donations will be accepted. Reservations can be made to Bill Purkerson through text 864-202-2094 or email williamcarmen@bellsouth.net

With Malice Toward None With Braver Angels
You are invited to participate in the next step of creating a culture of reconciliation and healing of political division. We held simultaneous “Red” and “Blue” gatherings on Tuesday night, providing each group the opportunity to reflect with like-minded people on division and reconciling. We will have the follow-up gathering this Saturday from 1:00-3:00. The goal of this gathering is to allow opportunity for finding the common ground that we all share as Christians and as Americans.

Braver Angels is a citizens’ organization uniting red and blue Americans in a working alliance to depolarize America. Their guiding principles are:
We try to understand the other side’s point of view, even if we don’t agree with it.
We engage those we disagree with, looking for common ground and ways to work together.

We support principles that bring us together rather than divide us.

Children's Sunday School This Week
In-person Sunday school will take place on the 3rd Sunday of every month, during the in-person church service outside, using social distancing, masks and hygienic practices. The lessons will be about 30 minutes. Our meetings will be located at Trinity Place. We are committed to being flexible, safe and communicative under the constraints of the ongoing pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mary Beth Johnstone (864-506-5570; mbjohnstone69@gmail.com).

Please arrive a few minutes ahead of 9:00am, so that we can gather into our respective groups. Each leader will have a sign indicating where each group will meet; the groups are: pre-K (3 and 4 years), Godly Play (K-2nd grade), Faith Travelers (3rd-5th grades), Middle School (6th-8th grades) and High school (9th -12th grade).
Compline: Bedtime Prayers for Us All
Nightly prayer time on our Facebook page began in mid-March as a way to connect and provide a sense of closure to each day during the lock-down, when our days seemed to melt together into a timeless goo. As the weeks went by, a small and faithful group of worshipers began to form into a community of prayer. People from around the diocese and around the country join us each night to ask for prayers and to settle their hearts for the night. We gather each night at 8:25 pm to prepare for this brief service of prayer, honoring the saints as they are appointed in Lesser Feasts and Fasts, with Compline beginning at about 8:30. Compline lasts about 15 minutes, including time to read our parish prayer list and other names and needs that are requested.

Fourth Stewardship Message Tomorrow
You'll be receiving another special email message tomorrow regarding our Holy Trinity stewardship campaign, Faith-Filled Generosity. It will be the Fourth of five weekly communications and will contain a Reflection, a video link to a message from one of your fellow parishioners and a campaign update indicating how much has been given. Watch for it!

We are so grateful for the pledges we have received! If you haven't yet returned your completed pledge card, please do so today. If you need a new pledge card, please contact the church office, and we'll send one to you right away.

Love Your Neighbor
Now more than ever, it is an act of Christian love to wear a face covering when you are away from your home. Please love your neighbor by wearing a mask, including whenever you come to our church buildings! We have masks available in the church office and at our outside worship services, just in case you get out the door without one.
Y'all take care and stay well!
Eucharistic Visits
Knowing that there will be quite a few parishioners who do not feel comfortable or safe coming to church yet, Deacon Noah and Mtr. Suz will be available to bring Holy Communion to your homes. We will share the Body and the Blood from Holy Trinity’s outdoor altar, observing careful distancing and masking. The preference is to conduct these Eucharistic Visits outdoors, as much as possible. Please call Sheryl at the church office to request a visit. She will inform the clergy, and one of us will be in touch to schedule an appointment.
Sign Up for the Advent Play
The annual Advent play is going virtual! Children and youth pre-K through 12th grade are welcome to participate. Details about how to participate have been emailed to all parents of school aged children and youth. Please email Mary Beth Johnstone, mbjohnstone69@gmail.com if you did not receive this email and want to participate.
Video submissions are due by Nov 29 and will be assembled into a movie and posted on the church website. We hope everyone can participate and that this will be a fun way to keep this long held tradition this Advent season!

Advent Adult Formation: E’en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come
The Church’s liturgical year begins with the season of Advent. This season invites us to turn inward and examine ourselves, our souls, in preparation for encountering Christ. Advent focuses our preparation specifically on expectation and anticipation—living into the season of Advent should bring us into a state of awe and wonder as we consider, not just in our minds, but also in our hearts, the marvelous thing that God is about to do, for us, among us, and within us. Mtr. Suz will lead three sessions on Thursday evenings in December exploring the gifts of the Advent season as we reflect on Lord Jesus who was, and is, and is to come. The dates for these sessions are 12/3, 12/10, and 12/17. Zoom Links will be sent included in HT Notes in late November.

Tuesday Night's Sticky Faith Class Is Especially for Parents
How many of us over the past 5 months have seen a great deal more of our kids? Did we take advantage of this time to connect with them? Did we connect with them on their faith? Well just in case you don't have an answer to each of those questions, we have a class that can help! This Fall Bill Purkerson will host a weekly class/course on connecting with your youth on faith using a book called The Sticky Faith Guide. The overall purpose is to find avenues to help our youth develop a faith that will last them well into the future. There will be time to have discussion on a very basic level and even if you aren't able to complete the readings you can still participate. We will hold the class by Zoom on Tuesdays at 7:00. I hope you will be able to join us and please bring a friend.

There Is a Need for Gift Cards
The Coronavirus has impacted all of us and has implications for the families supported at Family Promise. At the moment JoAnn Brink, Case Manager for Family Promise, is working with a few families. JoAnn said there is a need for Gift cards to local grocery stores, gift cards for gas, and gift cards to local restaurants are needed. FYI the Easley Walmart does not have a gas station connected to the store. Gift cards can be mailed directly to Family Promise of Pickens County, c/o JoAnn Brink, 104 Stewart Drive, Easley, SC 29640. We will keep everyone informed.

We hope to count on your support for Family Promise of Pickens County. Our churches are not open for hosting families. We are also reaching out to you as there is a need for a fund for keeping vehicles that belong to families in our program on the road. Families must have a vehicle to be in our program. A car is needed to transport children to day care and afterschool care. Checks can be made payable to Family Promise of Pickens County in the memo line Car Fund.  If you have any questions please contact me Liz Halpin (864) 903-6340 or ehalpin59@gmail.com. Families are our neighbors. A check made out to Family Promise of Pickens County is always acceptable and welcome. Family Promise of Pickens is a United Way Agency and a 501©3.
Thank you and stay safe.

And By the Way...
Church Mice On Parade
After over 75 years, we are going to miss our traditional annual Holy Trinity bazaar this year – at least in person. However, we will offer some of the favorite items on line. First will be the church mice that include a procession of choristers, bishops, priests, deacons, crucifers, acolytes, vergers, and thurifers. Plus we have angels and cheerleaders – both Clemson and that other state school... Each mouse requires hours of loving hand-crafting so quantities are limited. Cost is $25 each. (Knowing the labor involved, all “Mouse crafters” would say this is a real bargain!) To reserve your mouse, contact Sally Morrell at 864-654-5607, 864-710-5264, or at sallym29631@gmail.com.
Stained Glass Ornaments
Are you missing being inside the church? We have a few remaining stained glass ornaments of our church windows, and these can be lovely reminders of the space we now see only on line. The ornaments cost $25 each. If you would like to purchase one or to add your name to a waiting list for those that have previously sold out, please contact Sally Morrell at sallym29631@gmail.com.
Doll Clothes for Sale
For your own American girl – or other 18” doll – we offer these lovely handmade items. Whether she's headed to a fancy party, to her workout, or to snuggle into bed, we have something special. Most include shoes or boots and accessories, and most complete outfits are $25. Nearly all are one-of-a-kind originals, we do have a few others not pictured, but when they’re gone, they’re gone.

For more information or to view other outfits, contact Sally Morrell at 864-654-5607, 864-710-5264 0r sallym29631@gmail.com.
