CHILDREN AND YOUTH NEWS

Reminder that Children’s Church has ended for this season. 


We will continue to offer worship bags with activities and ways for children to follow along with the church service.


Nursery will continue for ages K and under throughout the year and any changes will be communicated weekly.


Our next and final youth Third Sunday for this season will be May 18. Youth grades 5-12 will meet in the Canterbury Center beginning at 9:30 am. Third Sundays will resume in September.

Wild Wednesdays begin June 11! Click here to view the full schedule. When Holy Trinity is the host church, our youth will have supper at 6 pm in the Canterbury Center.

Don't Miss Sunday, May 18!

  • Canon Stephen Rhoades will preach at both morning services.
  • We will recognize our High School graduates.
  • Parish-wide fellowship lunch in the Parish Hall at 11:30.
  • Evensong at 5 PM at St. Paul's presented by our Chancel Choir.


ECW Food for Thought Potluck: Thurs, May 22 at 6 pm in the Parish Hall. All are invited to hear Robert Miles, a retired Lutheran pastor and representative from Healing Bridges Counseling Center (an ecumenical mental health center serving the greater Clemson area. Click here for more info). Please plan to bring your dishes to share starting at 5:30 pm. You’ll have time to mix and mingle with our ECW members and our dinner will promptly start at 6 pm with our talk beginning at 6:30 pm. Please look for a sign-up genius in the coming week.


We will recognize our Education for Ministry (EfM) graduates, Dorothy Meeks and Kathy Woodard, on Theological Education Sunday, May 27. In celebration of 50 years of EfM, we will take a special collection that day that will go to The School of Theology, the home of EfM. All alumni of EfM are encouraged to attend to be recognized also.


We will continue to offer our coffee fellowship hour through June 15. Please let Jerae know if you are able to help on any Sunday beginning May 25.


We need volunteers to help with our Lemonade under the bell tower fellowship. If you would like to help, please contact Jerae.


SAVE THE DATE!

Sunday, June 8th is the Day of Pentecost. We will have one service at 10:30 am at St. Paul's followed by our annual picnic. Click here to view the flyer, which includes details about side dishes and desserts for the picnic. We will need teams to help with set up, grilling and cleaning up. Please contact Jerae if you would like to help.

Ongoing Items

Please send all prayer requests to our Parish Administrator, Wesley Ramey. Names will remain on the prayer list for a period of 3 weeks unless we are informed of a long-term need.


St. Paul's Thrift Shop regular hours are Monday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on every third Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, September through June. It is located at 314 East Queen Street, Pendleton, SC, next to the church. Looking forward to seeing you!


Clemson Community Care: Donations Greatly Appreciated We have empty shelves in our food pantry. We have had a large number of clients asking for food, rental and utility assistance. Please donate the following food items: pork and beans, canned vegetables, canned meat and fish, canned fruit, dry pasta, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, soup, cooking oil, dried beans, and shelf stable milk. Non-food items in very short supply are toilet tissue, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant, baby wipes and size 4, 5,6, diapers and pull-ups. You may view and purchase needed items for direct delivery to CCC by clicking here.
