CHILDREN AND YOUTH NEWS
Family Field Day Friday is cancelled for this Friday, 8/28. There will be a final field day on Friday, September 25 until we resume in the spring. Please continue to check communications for further information.
Nursery is now available and will be available on each Sunday in September.
This Sunday we will have a Children’s Service at 10:30 am as we are celebrating Episcopal Day School Sunday. Sunday, Sept. 6th will not be a Children's Service.
Children’s Church will meet regularly beginning on Sunday, September 6.
Youth Group Wednesdays have begun! Dinner and fellowship for ages 5th-12th grade. Youth are welcome to bring their friends! Our next gathering will be on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6 pm in the Parish Hall. We will enjoy a lasagna dinner!
COMING UP
This evening at 5:30 pm in the Parish Hall: Please join us for a "Food for Thought" presentation, hosted by the ECW (Episcopal Church Women) Dr. Harold Morse, Holy Trinity parishioner, and a physician who has volunteered for 40 years and been a leader on behalf of our Diocesan World Missions Committee, will speak about our church mission in Haiti. He will be joined by Celeste Bundy, CEO of Education Equals Hope. Come for a potluck supper and hear an update on our work in Haiti with particular emphasis on the new schools which we are now supporting.
This Sunday, August 30 will be EDS Sunday. This is a time for our parish to learn about our Episcopal Day School. We invite all EDS Families and staff to join us! We will have an open house for parishioners following the services. All are invited to a pasta bar lunch following the 10:30 am Children’s Service.
Please note that the 10:30 service on Sun, September 6th will not be a Children’s Service.
The monthly service of Holy Eucharist at Clemson Downs will be held on Tues, Sept. 2nd at 10:30 am.
The church office will be closed on Mon, Sept. 7th in observance of Labor Day. Note that the Monday evening Canterbury Supper will continue as scheduled on that day.
St. Paul's Thrift Shop resumes normal hours on Thurs, Sept. 10th: Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on every third Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Your patronage and donations are always appreciated. Questions or comments? Contact Margaret Nieman.
IT"S TIME TO CELEBRATE! Sun, Sept. 13th following 10:30 worship. It's a Cake Picnic--If you bake, bring your favorite cake! Join us on Trinity Place for a special fellowship celebration of the paying off of the Trinity Place Loan. Those who bake are encouraged to bring a cake to share with the parish. We will enjoy some cake and champagne as we celebrate, and Bishop Daniel Richards plans to join us for the festivities.
Signs & Grace--a short course on Sacraments begins Sunday, September 13. This short course will be taught collaboratively by our priestly dynamic duo--Mtr. Gillian and Mtr. Suz. Join us in the parish hall at 4:00 pm for three consecutive Sundays. No preparation or registration required. Just show up!

Meal Train for Anna Courie - One of our newer parishioners needs our help. Anna Courie is the Chief Wellness Officer for Clemson University. She is fighting a recurrence of lymphoma, undergoing a 6-month course of chemotherapy. Her friends have set up a meal train through Give in Kind. Read about Anna's journey and sign up to provide a meal here. Meals are covered through August, but there are lots of openings in September and beyond. Keep Anna and Treb in your prayers--it makes a real difference!
Canterbury Suppers have resumed on Mondays at 6 pm. Our college students love getting the opportunity to gather together for a meal and to get to know HT parishioners. You can help by providing a meal for them. Click here to access the sign up.
