CHILDREN AND YOUTH NEWS

No Nursery or Children’s Church until August. 


Family Field Day will NOT meet this Friday, June 26 due to the concert at Death Valley Stadium. We will gather on Friday, July 31 from 5:30-7 pm.


Clemson Area Youth’s Wild Wednesdays will be on break June 24-July 1. The next Wild Wednesday will be on July 8. We will meet at Clemson Community Care at 7pm. 


Seeking Help! We need volunteers to help with our upcoming Children’s Church season that will begin in August. Time commitment can be flexible. Please contact Jerae if you are interested.


COMING UP

Please be advised of construction taking place near the junction of College Ave. and Addison Ln. The area could potentially be closed to traffic over the weekend.


Reminder that there are 2 summer concerts coming to Clemson that will be held at Death Valley Stadium this weekend: Friday June 26 and Saturday June 27th. Holy Trinity has offered reserved parking, and all spaces have been reserved! Please be aware that no parking will be available in our lots on those days. 


Should you need to visit the church office this summer, we encourage you to call/email and make an appointment with the person(s) you need to meet with before stopping by. Office staff and clergy will be out of the office periodically for retreats and vacations. We appreciate your understanding.


Our next ECW Monthly Night of Fellowship takes place this evening at 5:30 pm at Sole on the Green on the Clemson University campus. To save your seat, Please RSVP to Lynn Smith - lynnsmith114@earthlink.net.


June 29th will be the last day the thrift shop will be open for the season. A half-off everything sale is currently underway. The thrift shop will reopen on Thursday, September 10th.


Our first Wednesday service of Holy Eucharist will be held at Clemson Downs on July 1st at 10:30 am.


The church office will be closed Monday, July 6th in observance of Independence Day.


The funeral service for Barb Witmer will be held at Holy Trinity on Thurs, July 9th at 12:00 pm, with committal to follow in the Memorial Garden. A reception for family and friends will take place after the committal in the Parish Hall. All are welcome to attend.


GET INVOLVED!

Midsummer Eucharistic Minister Training--If you are interested in serving as a Eucharistic Minister, please join Mtr. Suz in the Nave following the 10:30 service on July 12. The training will last 30-45 minutes. Eucharistic Ministry is a licensed ministry and also requires Safe Church Training, which is accomplished online, usually a total of 2 hours.

Seeking Singers...Come Join Us!! The Chancel Choir is recruiting new members for our new season beginning in August. We are a friendly group that enjoys learning together and takes pride in providing a music ministry for Holy Trinity. Drop by for a visit anytime; sing with us for the season or the whole year. Music reading ability is helpful but not required. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. upstairs in the Parish Hall. IN THE COMMUNITY

Ring the Bell for Freedom! This Saturday, June 27th, at 2:50 pm church bells all around Pendleton will ring out 25 times as part of the Bells Across South Carolina "chorus of commemoration" of our enduring spirit of freedom. St. Paul's will participate as Jim Reed tolls the bell for each decade since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 


The Pickens County Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) was formed following Hurricane Helene and is offering three disaster workshops, designed to help local partners and community members strengthen preparedness, coordination, and recovery before the next emergency. The workshops are free to attend, and you may register for one, two, or all three. The first workshop Leading Through Disaster: Building Community Awareness and Preparedness will be held Tuesday, June 30, 9:00 am to noon at Clemson United Methodist Church. CCC Food and Household Needs: canned meat, fruit, jelly, peanut butter, pork & beans, potatoes, and 2 lb. bags of flour. Non-food items needed are soap, toothpaste, shaving cream and razors, etc.



St. Paul's Thrift Shop regular hours are Monday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on every third Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, September through June. It is located at 314 East Queen Street, Pendleton, SC, next to the church. Questions or comments? A note about name tags Those who filled out a name tag request recently should find their new name tag in the narthex on Sunday morning. If you took your old name tag home with you and can locate it, please bring it to church with you and you can insert it into a new, magnetic holder to wear. If not, please fill out a name tag request form and we'll get you one.


Holy Trinity Window Decals for your Vehicle Now Available Please display them in your back windshield/on your bumper. They are free and will be available in the narthex or from the church office. If you currently have an Episcopal shield decal displayed prominently on your vehicle, it will suffice for parking around the parish.
