CHILDREN AND YOUTH NEWS

Sunday, February 15 will be our next Youth Group gathering. Mark your calendars and plan to join us beginning at 9:30 am in the Canterbury Center. In order to plan an afternoon activity, we need a headcount by Wednesday, February 11. Please contact Jerae if your youth plans to attend the afternoon lunch and activity. 


Registration is under way for the EDUSC High School Winter Retreat. For more information, click here. The retreat is Feb 21-22 at St. Matthew’s in Spartanburg.


COMING UP

The HT Cares Pastoral Care Committee needs support for the February Joy and Comfort Bags, which will be assembled this Sat, Feb. 7th at 11 am in the Parish Hall Items needed include individually packaged snacks and, the most appreciated of all, bags of 2-4 homemade cookies to fill around 30 Joy & Comfort bags! Please join in for the packing fun! Contributions may also be dropped off in the office during business hours.


This Sunday, Feb. 8 - Second Sunday Lunch! Bring a gracious plenty of your favorite dishes and/or desserts and join us for lunch in the Parish Hall following the 10:30 service.


The Outreach Committee will meet this Sun., Feb. 8, 2026, at 11:45 a.m. (after the 10:30 service) in the Canterbury Center to discuss allocation of 2026 Outreach Funds. Please join us.


Come have dinner with us for Shrove Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 5-7 pm. We will have our traditional pancake supper and a few rounds of Bingo and prizes. We hope you’ll join us!


Ash Wednesday, Feb 18th: Worship services with the imposition of ashes at 7:30 am, 12:30 pm, 5:00 pm (Children’s Serv.), and 7:00 pm. We invite all to observe a holy Lent.


John for Normal People: Join Mtr. Suz in the Canterbury Center on Wednesdays at 11:30 for a study of the Gospel according to John. We are using the book: John for Normal People: a Guide through the Depth and Drama of the Fourth Gospel by Jennifer Bashaw. Please park in the spaces along the fence on Trinity Place (note: you need an Episcopal Shield, Canterbury, or Holy Trinity sticker visible on your car or on the dashboard); enter the gate and follow the sidewalk to the Canterbury entrance.

Thurs., Feb. 25 at 6 pm: ECW Food for Thought Featuring Victoria Jayroe, Holy Trinity Parishioner, who will speak about her experiences volunteering for Baby Read, an early literacy program. This event is open to all church members. Please sign up to bring a dish or beverage by clicking here.


Sat., Feb. 28 beginning at 8:30 am: EDUSC 2026 World Missions Symposium at Christ Church, Greenville Click here for details and to register. The fee is $25.


Sun., Mar. 1: AED Demonstration We will have demonstrations of the operation of the AED’s (Automatic External Defibrillator) that we have stationed at Holy Trinity and St. Paul’s. These are relatively simple machines to operate. They save lives. Times will be just after the 8:00 am and 10:30 am services in the Canterbury Center. Ushers and other leaders who are consistent participants in our services, are encouraged to attend to become familiar with operation. The demonstration will take about 20 minutes and should prepare all participants to be able to use an AED at any facility where they are stationed. 


March 20-22: 4th annual Holy Trinity Women's Retreat at Camp Fellowship in Greenwood. This year, our theme is "The Friendship of Women". Just In! Brand New Holy Trinity Window Decals for your Vehicle These stickers are very important for parking around the parish. Please display them in your back windshield/on your bumper. They are free and will be available in the narthex or from the church office. If you currently have an Episcopal shield decal displayed prominently on your vehicle, it will suffice for parking around the parish.

Stained Glass Window Ornaments Available for Purchase ECW still has a few of the Rose Window ornaments (as well as some of the other windows) left for sale. They cost $25 each. The proceeds from these sales go to charity along with our bazaar profits. Call or text Sally Morrell at 864-710-5264 and she will be happy to get one for you.

CCC Food and Household Needs: shelf stable milk, pork and beans, potatoes, oatmeal, 2 lb. bags of flour, canned vegetables, cooking oil, tomato sauce and paste. Non-food items needed are laundry detergent, dish soap, all toiletries,

Newborn and Size 1 diapers and wipes.


St. Paul's Thrift Shop regular hours are Monday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on every third Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, September through June. It is located at 314 East Queen Street, Pendleton, SC, next to the church. Questions or comments?
