CHILDREN AND YOUTH NEWS

Nursery is available beginning at 9:30 am. We are welcoming new faces to our nursery crew. Please reach out to Jerae if you have any questions. 


Children’s Church begins at 9:45 am in the Parish Hall.


COMING UP

The funeral service for Gerry Spejewski will take place at Holy Trinity at 1:00 pm this Sat., Jan. 24, with the Committal in the Holy Trinity Memorial Garden immediately following. After that, there will be a reception in the Parish Hall. We pray for the Spejewski family and all who mourn.


We will have only one service this coming Sunday, Jan. 25th at 10 am due to the Annual Meeting. Please note that photographers may be on site to take photos for the website. Please see notice at beginning of email.


Our annual meeting luncheon will follow our one worship service this Sunday, Jan 25. Lunch will be provided by the church. See 'General Announcements' below for further information regarding our By-laws.


Tempo Submission Deadline is 1 Week Away: Thurs, Jan 29 Due to the annual meeting, Tempo will be released in mid February. Please submit all content to Wesley.


Happy New Year to our Episcopal Church Women (ECW) You are invited to a kickoff gathering to share upcoming ECW events for 2026 on Thursday January 29 at 5:30 pm. We will also discuss the funds raised at the recent Holy Trinity Annual Bazaar and Artisan Market, and disbursement amounts to our local charities. A light meal will be served. Questions? John for Normal People: Join Mtr. Suz in the Canterbury Center on Wednesdays at 11:30 for a study of the Gospel according to John. We are using the book: John for Normal People: a Guide through the Depth and Drama of the Fourth Gospel by Jennifer Bashaw. Please park in the spaces along the fence on Trinity Place (note: you need an Episcopal Shield, Canterbury, or Holy Trinity sticker visible on your car or on the dashboard); enter the gate and follow the sidewalk to the Canterbury entrance. 


Sunday, Feb. 1 - Candlemas Eucharist at St. Paul's, 5 pm. All are invited to bring a covered dish and gather at the home of Lura Forcum for a potluck meal following the service.

The HT Cares Pastoral Care Committee needs support for the February Joy and Comfort Bags, which will be assembled on Sat, Feb. 7th at 11 am in the Parish Hall Items needed include individually packaged snacks and, the most appreciated of all, bags of 2-4 homemade cookies to fill around 30 Joy & Comfort bags! Please join in for the packing fun! Contributions may also be dropped off in the office during business hours.


Sat, Feb 7, 2026: Rise Against Hunger Packaging Event Rise gives volunteers a tremendous opportunity to make a difference and have fun doing it! Slots are available for set up/clean up and packaging meals. You may click here to sign up.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Holy Trinity Parish Annual Meeting this Sunday, January 25, 2026 will include a presentation of proposed revisions to the By-laws of Holy Trinity Parish. The revisions will be presented to the Parish for review and approval during the meeting. The goal of the revisions is to clarify language and understanding of the practices of the Parish as stated in the By-laws. - Rebecca Eidson Diemer, Clerk of the Vestry


Stained Glass Window Ornaments Available for Purchase Last Sunday in church, we had a meaningful explanation of the beautiful Rose window. With that in mind, we wanted to remind you that the ECW still has a few of the Rose Window ornaments (as well as some of the other windows) left for sale. They cost $25 each. The proceeds from these sales go to charity along with our bazaar profits. Call or text Sally Morrell at 864-710-5264 and she will be happy to get one for you. 


Ongoing Items

Please send all prayer requests to our Parish Administrator, Wesley RameyNames will remain on the prayer list for a period of 3 weeks unless we are informed of a long-term need.

CCC is distributing holiday food to clients in November and December. They will need lots of frozen turkeys (but please, not the huge ones! 10-13 lb turkeys are plenty big enough)! Publix in Clemson, Pendleton Food Lion, and Ingles in Central will hold purchased turkeys for CCC to pick up. Just take your turkey up to the register and pay for it and leave it with the cashier. If you prefer, you can take your turkey and drop it off at CCC yourself, Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 1 PM.


CCC Food and Household Needs: shelf stable milk, pork and beans, potatoes, oatmeal, 2 lb. bags of flour, canned vegetables, cooking oil, tomato sauce and paste. Non-food items needed are laundry detergent, dish soap, all toiletries,

Newborn and Size 1 diapers and wipes.


St. Paul's Thrift Shop regular hours are Monday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on every third Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, September through June. It is located at 314 East Queen Street, Pendleton, SC, next to the church. Questions or comments?
