CHILDREN AND YOUTH NEWS
Nursery availability begins this Sunday, August 16. Please continue to check communications in the event of availability changes.
Children’s Church will meet Sundays, August 16 and 23rd in the Parish Hall at 10:15 am.
The next Family Fellowship Friday is on Friday, August 28 on Trinity Place at 5:30 pm. If you aren’t familiar with this fellowship, please reach out to Jerae for more information.
Youth Group Wednesdays have begun! Please note that based on responses and feedback from our youth, the previously communicated 1st and 3rd Wednesday meeting has been adjusted. Our next gathering is on Wednesday September 2 from 6-7:30 pm in the Parish Hall. Dinner will be served. Further information will be communicated closer to the date.
Please consider leaving your child's art work they made during church in the basket in the narthex. We can include them in Joy & Comfort bags to help brighten someone's day!
COMING UP
Adult Sunday School has resumed and meets at 9:30 am in the Tom Davis Library.
Sunday, August 23 will be our Welcome Back picnic. Join us in the Canterbury Center following the 10:30 am service as we welcome back our Canterbears. Please bring a dessert or a bag of chips to share.
Canterbury Suppers Return Monday, August 24th at 6 pm. Volunteers are needed. Our college students love getting the opportunity to gather together for a meal and to get to know HT parishioners. You can help by providing a meal for them. Click here to access the sign up.
Please join us for a "Food for Thought" presentation, hosted by the ECW (Episcopal Church Women), Thurs, Aug 27 at 5:30 pm in the Parish Hall. Dr. Harold Morse, Holy Trinity parishioner, and a physician who has volunteered for 40 years and been a leader on behalf of our Diocesan World Missions Committee, will speak about our church mission in Haiti. He will be joined by Celeste Bundy, CEO of Education Equals Hope. As we've prepared our local children in need with "back to school" support, it is also a good time to remember our families facing severe poverty in the central plateau of Haiti. Come for a potluck supper and hear an update on our work in Haiti with particular emphasis on the new schools which we are now supporting. Sunday, August 30 will be EDS Sunday. This is a time for our Parish to learn about our Episcopal Day School. We invite all EDS Families and staff to join us! There will be an open house for parishioners and EDS families between the services. Lunch will follow the 10:30 am Children’s Service in the Parish Hall.

Meal Train for Anna Courie - One of our newer parishioners needs our help. Anna Courie is the Chief Wellness Officer for Clemson University. She and her husband, Treb have been attending our 8:00 service since before they moved into their Clemson home last spring. Anna is fighting a recurrence of lymphoma, undergoing a 6-month course of chemotherapy. Her friends have set up a meal train through Give in Kind. Read about Anna's journey and sign up to provide a meal here. Meals are covered through August, but there are lots of openings in September and beyond. Keep Anna and Treb in your prayers--it makes a real difference!

Thanks to all who participated in the lunch box and snack drive for Family Promise. It was a huge success! Family Promise was so grateful, and with the start of school, both items were used immediately.
