CHILDREN AND YOUTH NEWS

Children’s Church for ages K-4th grades begins promptly at 10:15 am in our Parish Hall. Children’s Church includes chapel, liturgical lessons, and activities. Please note there is no Children’s Church on First Sundays. 


If you missed Youth Group last Sunday, please contact Jerae to learn about our upcoming season. 


LEAF (Large Episcopal Area Fellowship) is Sunday, September 28, 4 pm-6 pm at Grace Anderson. If you have a youth who will be attending, please let Jerae know so that we can be sure to have a representative from Holy Trinity in attendance.


COMING UP HIGHLIGHTS

Food for Thought, this evening at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall Lauren Russell, CCC Program Director, will speak to us about CCC priorities, needs, and challenges in 2025.


A service of Holy Eucharist will be held at Clemson Downs, on Wed, Oct 1 at 10:30 am.


We celebrate our Episcopal Day School on EDS Sunday, October 5, at our 10:30 service. We will have a Children’s Service at 10:30 followed by light refreshments. EDS is one of our most significant outreach ministries to the community, providing a loving, Christian learning environment for children ages 2-4. During the month of October, there will be opportunities to give to the EDS Scholarship Fund. 


Our annual Blessing of the Animals, in honor of St. Francis, will take place on Sunday, October 5, at 3:00 pm on Trinity Place. Please ensure your pet is properly controlled and contained. Pet supply donations will be collected at that time to support an area animal shelter.


Following the St. Paul’s 5 pm Service on October 5, you are invited to a potluck gathering at Lura Forcum’s home: 183 E. Queen St., Pendleton.


Sacred Ground Series - a prayerful and transformative dialogue about race and reconciliation. Our next meeting will be Thursday, October 9 at 6 pm -- feel free to join us. We will meet on alternate Thursday evenings this Fall and Spring. Our meetings will take place in the St. Luke's Classroom on the 2nd floor of the Parish Hall Building. Plan to park at Trinity Place, enter through the Canterbury Center, and take the stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor.


Contemplative Outreach will offer a Centering Prayer Workshop at Holy Trinity on Saturday, October 11, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Kindly RSVP to Wesley.


Beginning on Sunday, October 12 we will kick off our monthly Second Sunday Lunches. Join your fellow parishioners for a potluck style lunch. Bring your favorite dish to share. Last names ending in A-M please bring a main/side dish. Last names ending in N-Z please bring a dessert. We will rotate monthly on dish distribution.


Our 2026 Stewardship Campaign, Forward in Faith, continues through October 26. Packets have been mailed out. We ask all who call Holy Trinity their parish home to be in prayer about this campaign to fund the mission and ministry of Holy Trinity in 2026.


IN THE COMMUNITY

Barn, Boots, and Brew, hosted by and supporting Family Promise of Pickens County, will be held at Arabella Farms on Tues, Oct 7 beginning at 6 pm. Tickets are available for purchase here.



GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to Holy Trinity parishioner, Joanna Schuman for this impressive honor! She is the City of Clemson's first Poet Laureate.


VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

A hearty Holy Trinity ‘Thank You’ to all who stepped up to provide Monday meals for our Canterbears this semester! Fellowship with students and parishioners is very important to our campus ministry group and we are most appreciative.

Clemson Community Care: Donations Greatly Appreciated CCC needs many food items to replenish our pantry shelves! Soup, canned meat & fish, oatmeal, cereal, canned fruit, canned potatoes, juice, shelf stable milk. Other items in short supply are dish and laundry detergents, soap, shampoo and conditioner, toilet tissue, and size 1 and size 5 diapers. You may view and purchase needed items for direct delivery to CCC by clicking here.
