Christmas Music and Flower Dedications: Honor or remember a loved one by helping to adorn our Christmas services with beauty. The special dedication form can be accessed here. Please return forms to the church office by 12/22 to have your dedication included in our Christmas Eve Bulletins.

We are collecting items to take to Country Santa through December 11. If you are not familiar with County Santa, they are a local organization that serves all of Pickens County. They collect donations throughout the year and deliver Christmas gifts to over 700 families on Christmas Eve, check out their website at http://www.countrysanta.org for more information. The greatest need are items for teenagers. Ask your teen for donation ideas! Items need to be new and unwrapped. You can bring on Sundays or drop off at the church office during collection week.

Sunday, December 11 at Breakfast we will hold Canterbury Recognition. We will be honoring our Canterbury friends and giving a special thank you to Eleanor Ehrman, Sarah Slagle, Alexander Pratt, Ben Porter, Emma Harrington, Scotty Timms, Blake Morgan, Will Purkerson, Jack Purkerson and Ethan Culler. Each of you have stepped up to help with various needs at Holy Trinity, sometimes with a moment’s notice. Also, a special thanks to our wonderful nursery workers Anna Kay Pitts, Aubree Bartlett, and Alex Pratt. All of your efforts and serving hearts are truly appreciated and a blessing to everyone at Holy Trinity.”

Special thanks to the Crouse Family- Kevin, Kathy, Ashley and Eric- for decorating our light tree at Trinity Place

Sunday, December 11th from 1:30-3:30 Holy Trinity has an opportunity to work with Country Santa. Due to the size of the facility, we can only have 15 volunteers. If we have more, we can take shifts. Our time is 1:30-3:30. If you would like to participate, we are going to coordinate a carpool/caravan and leave Holy Trinity by 12:30. We will have a light lunch following the service before departing. We will return to the church by 4:30/5pm. Contact Jerae if you plan to attend and for more information.

The Pastoral Care Committee’s next delivery of “we are thinking of you” cookie bags will be Dec. 17. If you would like to make cookies, please deliver them to the parish hall or the side chapel before 11 am on Dec. 17. Please package cookies in approx. 30 bags of 2-4 cookies each. Email Pam Mack for more information or if you want to be on the list of cookie bakers who get a request 3 or 4 times a year.

In addition to preparing Christmas day meals for Meals on Wheels, Holy Trinity will deliver a meal to parishioners who are more isolated this holiday. Please call the church office or email Pam Mack by Dec. 18 if you would like a noontime meal on Christmas day.

Saturday, December 24, Christmas Eve, Children’s service will be at 4pm. We will have the children bring in the creche figures during the telling of The Christmas Story. Plan to arrive by 3:30 if your child wants to participate.

Ongoing Items

Appeal for Funds for St. Paul’s Renovation & Painting Project 200th anniversary! St. Paul’s is now in dire need of a major renovation to its exterior, and we are seeking financial contributions to fund this effort.  We have been quoted $140,000 for the entire job and we are seeking grants and diocesan assistance, but any contributions would be greatly appreciated and much-needed. Checks may be made out to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with St. Paul’s Renovation in the memo line. If you would like additional information, please contact Mtr. Suz Cate or Mary Lou Sigsby, chairperson for the St. Paul’s Committee of Holy Trinity.

Breakfast Team Members Needed! Breakfast Teams prepare, serve, and clean up after our weekly Sunday breakfasts. Each team serves once a month during the school year. There are four established teams who could use another set of hands. Team cooking is tons of fun and a great way to get to know your HT friends better. Please contact Bill Purkerson or Vanessa Apicello in the church office if you would be interested in joining a team or just checking it out one Sunday.
