#HTCommencement Is Here:

How To Watch Live

Graduation Season is officially here at Huston-Tillotson University!

After ceremonies were postponed last year, the HT campus comes alive Saturday as we celebrate the graduating classes of 2020 and 2021 with our Commencement Convocation.

The 9 a.m. ceremony on the Athletic Field will be streamed live on the University's YouTube page, which you can access by clicking here.

Engineer, physician, advocate and astronaut Dr. Mae Jemison, the first woman of color to go into space, will deliver the commencement address.

The convocation will also recognize honors students from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 and the Golden Classes of 1970 and 1971.

Appropriate Covid-19 protocols and safety measures will be in place, with event parking on Chalmers Avenue.

First United Methodist Church Of Austin Eliminates Debt For HT Students

This week, Huston-Tillotson University will celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021 at its first in-person commencement ceremony since 2019. Many of the graduates are benefactors of a gift from the First United Methodist Church of Austin (FUMC).

This investment eliminated debt for students allowing them to persist and ‘finish the last mile’ of their undergraduate journey to earn their degree.

Huston-Tillotson University received a gift from the First United Methodist Church of more than $450,000, clearing balances and eliminating debt for many students.
