Downs-Jones Library Introduces

New Campus Delivery Service

Huston-Tillotson University's Downs-Jones Library will begin a delivery service for on-campus residents to have books delivered directly to their dormitory.

HTLIB+ Delivery is a newly featured library service that will provide deliveries and pick-ups of books and articles to the residence halls. Beginning Monday, October 4, students will now have the added option for the library to place holds on items and conveniently have them delivered to their residence hall.

"This service was created so that students will have easier access to resources to assist them with their learning and research," said Danielle' McGhee, Director of Library Services and University Archivist. "We wanted to provide a solution to meet students where they are while also implementing safety protocols."

Hours of operation for services are:

Monday-Friday Morning Delivery/Pick-Up: 10 a.m.

Evening Delivery/Pick-Up: 6 p.m. (5 p.m. Friday)

HT To Host Building Green Justice Forum

Huston-Tillotson University will present the 8th annual Building Green Justice Forum on Tuesday, October 12th, 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm via Whova. This year's theme is “Repair, Regeneration, and Reparations.”

Repair and regeneration have complementary but distinct biological definitions. Repair prevents an injury from spreading and re-establishes basic support; regeneration is a complete renewal of function that restores components by rebuilding them anew. We can envision how both definitions apply to environmental justice work, from science and policy to advocacy and community resilience.
