Mister HT Finishes In Top 10 In

National HBCU Kings Event

Congratulations to Our King @misterhustontillotsonu Christian Broussard in finishing in the Top 10 in the national Mister HBCU Competition in St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Broussard finished in the top half of the field of contestants from HBCUs around the country.

Critically Acclaimed "The 1619 Project" Campus Book Club Selection For February

HT’s Black History Month 4^th Annual Book Club featuring Nikole Hannah-Jones’ The 1619 Project. Event is open to campus and Austin community.

2022 HT Homecoming Schedule Of Events

Huston-Tillotson University will return to on-campus homecoming festivities in 2022 on the beautiful East Austin campus.

This year’s theme is “Back In Full Effect: A fRAMily Reunion,” will be held Sunday Feb. 13 through Saturday, Feb. 19 with a mixture of student and community events.

Dr. Burnette Nominee For

Community Champion Award

Huston-Tillotson University President Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette has been named as one of eight finalists for the Community Champion Award, presented by Notley Ventures.

Dr. Burnette is one of eight finalists for the award, celebrating leaders who have been intentional in their work raising the standard of care we have for each other, building inter-community accountability and infusing Austin with support and resources.

⁣The winner will be announced at the Notley Moontower Ball on February 12.

The Institute for Justice and Equity at Huston-Tillotson (IJE) will host a free Legal Clinic on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from Noon-2 p.m. in the Davage-Durden Student Union. The event is free and open to the public, and HT students are encouraged to attend.

Just because a case is dismissed by a judge does not automatically mean it is removed from the official record. It can have long-term ramifications that can affect a person’s ability to gain future employment, housing, or more. There will be separate stations for help with driver’s license recovery and expunction and sealing of criminal records.
