Dr. Daniela Zuniga Carlier Named
Safe and Healthy Rams Coordinator
Dr. Daniela Zuniga Carlier joins the HT #fRAMily as our Safe and Healthy Rams Coordinator.
Dr. Zuniga Carlier will manage many aspects of the University's reactivation efforts, serving as the central point of contact for our reactivation policies and procedures, including conducting any contact tracing needed over the next year.

Tavakoli Speaker at E3 Alliance Blueprint Summit
HT Assistant Professor of Mathematics Hoda Tavakoli was a featured speaker during the E3 Alliance Blueprint Summit.
Tavakoli was a part of a the session "A Very Different Year: Student & Educator Guest Panel," where she and students from the Central Texas area spoke about their experience during this very different year for educational learning. Topics included challenges and benefits of different learning modalities and lessons learned.
The goal for the Blueprint for Educational Change Summit was to bring together data, stories from the community, and insights into where we are as a region and where we need to go.

Congratulations to HT SGA Vice President Zahria Touchstone as she was award Best Display of Leadership-Female at the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals Student Leadership Institute.
Touchstone was part of the HT contingent at the institute that included SGA President Derrick Jackson Jr., Mister HT Christian Broussard and Campus Activities Board President Jordan Anderson-Cortez.
The Student Leadership Institute (SLI) is an intensive, interactive, and stimulating learning program. It was a six-day program designed for newly elected HBCU student leaders who are committed to uplifting their organizations and their university.

As we continue to move forward on reactivating campus, we took time to celebrate our progress despite the crisis.
Congratulations to Ms. Dawn Cassanova and Dr. Samuel Rowley for being chosen as Staff and Faculty of the year. Congratulations to the winners of the President’s Vanguard Award: Mr. Malcolm Haraway, Dr. Monique Carroll, Ms. Cassanova, Ms. Linda Jackson, and Dr. Jennifer Miles.

Pre-College Program Visits HT | |
The New Boston Faith Based Pre-College Program, sponsored by Recovery Ministries in New Boston, Texas exposed more than 20 middle school and high school students to the Huston-Tillotson University and all that the #fRAMily has to offer inside the #CultureOfExcellence.
The ministry, located in Northeast Texas, is led by the parents of HT Athletic Director Dr. Monique Carroll.
