The organisers of the Heritage, Tourism and Hospitality, 4th International Conference, wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We look forward to seeing you in April 2020, in Mendrisio, where people are proud and delighted that their Holy Week Processions have been inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (video below in French).  

HTHIC2020 will evolve around the theme "Living Heritage and Sustainable Tourism" and the leading question "how can destinations succeed in attracting tourists while simultaneously involve stakeholders in the conservation of natural and cultural heritage?" read more  

Special Sessions on Location 
HTHIC2020 will offer "Special Sessions on Location": encounters between conference participants and local heritage curators aimed to discuss aspects of preservation, (re-)presentation and promotion. We will take you along the route of Mendrisio's Holy Week Processions, its ateliers and churches and the Museo del Trasparente Casa Croci. And why not stay after the conference (6-8 April) to attend the processions yourself (9-10 April)?
