“Building a Bridge to the Future” Special Giving Appeal at Holy Trinity

We have a meaningful giving opportunity emerging at Holy Trinity that we invite you to be a part of. With the raising of interest rates and the generosity of a family matching the giving of the Congregation, we feel now is the best time to retire the bridge loan on our Ministry Center.

Read about this appeal in a letter from Pastor Will and our Stewardship Ministry Team on Holy Trinity’s blog site.

You can mail in your gift or put it in the offering plate during Sunday worship. Please write in the memo “building a bridge spring appeal". Or you can give directly online through our website under the heading “Building a Bridge Spring Appeal”.

Women's Be Kind to Yourself Spiritual Retreat

September 15-17

(Late afternoon/evening-Sunday lunch)

You are invited to a weekend away at beautiful St. Francis Springs Prayer Center in Stoneville, NC (about an hour and a half from Chapel Hill (north of Greensboro). There is room for 15, not counting Holly. Some will share a room (2 to a room) and others have a single room, but no one needs to share a bed. Since all meals are included, the price is higher than other retreats. Cost is $300 for the weekend. The accommodations are fantastic and the food is very good!

We will be discussing the book "Be Kind to Yourself: Releasing Frustrations & Embracing Joy" by Cindy Bunch (a high school friend of Holly's). There will be plenty of time to explore the grounds, walk the prayer labyrinth, walk on the wooded trails, and visit with one another. The first 4 people to sign up get the 4 single rooms! (There are 2 single rooms remaining). A $150 deposit is due by June 4.

2023 CROP Hunger Walk: June 4 after church! This annual 5K walk uses our feet to raise money for local and global hunger relief. If Carolina sunshine, church friends, and a good cause are your jam, join Team HTLC. We will stroll from church to Carrboro Town Commons and back, starting at 1:15 pm. All ages and speeds are welcome.

  • To join Team HTLC: Go online (scroll down to “Join the Team”) and create your own fundraising page. Share that page with family and friends, asking them to support you with their prayers and dollars. Then get ready to walk on June 4!
  • To support Team HTLC: Donate to our team online anytime, or in the church narthex starting on April 30. If you prefer to mail a check to the church, please make it out to CWS/CROP.

All funds go to Church World Service and the Inter-Faith Council. Last year Team HTLC had 30 walkers who raised $6,341! Let’s do it again. Contact Sarah Zink with any questions.
