THERE WAS A LAYOFF IN THE PRACTICE CLINIC & TEMPORARY UNIT CLOSURE IN PEDIATRIC & PHYSICAL REHAB DUE TO LOW PATIENT CENSUS.

JNESO WILL CONTINUE TO ENSURE THAT MANAGEMENT UPHOLDS ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF YOUR COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT DURING THIS PROCESS.

FLOAT BLOCKS: In the event floating is necessary, it shall be volunteers, agency, per diem RN & least senior RN on a rotating basis. No nurse will be floated to accommodate an agency RN. Nurses hall not be displaced from their own unit by a floated RN. Staff RNs may volunteer to float outside of specific floating blocks provided they have been cross-trained. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS WORK WITHIN YOUR COMPETENCIES!

PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE ALLOWANCE: JNESO has been made aware some RNs have not received their uniforms. If you did not receive your uniform, please contact your Labor Rep. Aisha Harrison.

WORKERS’ COMPENSATION: To ensure members are being provided the most recent updates, JNESO has requested HUMC’s updated policy’s and protocols.

COVID-19 UPDATE & PPE: If you believe staffing or the facility equipment is not adequate, PLEASE FILL-OUT A SHORT STAFFING FORM!! Give a copy to your supervisor, keep a copy for yourself and send a copy to your JNESO Labor Rep. (below). Check the JNESO website for resource numbers for OSHA & DOH. NEGOTIATIONS PREPARATION: YOUR CURRENT COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT EXPIRES SEPT. 30, 2021. We are preparing the 2021 Pre-Negotiation Survey to prioritize your concerns as we begin negotiation preparation. If you are interested in joining the Negotiation Committee please contact your Labor Rep or a Local Officer.
ARBITRATIONS BEING ADDRESSED:
Unilateral Shift change from 8hr shifts to 12hr shifts &
Health and Safety: is being held in abeyance as the parties continue to discuss the issue.
