Call for Executive Committee Nominations
Active members of HUPO and scientists from the public or private sector with professional experience in the educational, research, or commercial activities related to the purposes of HUPO are invited to participate in the 2018 Executive Committee (EC) elections. EC positions are elected by council vote at the HUPO World Congress in Orlando, Florida, for a two-year term, commencing January 2019. More details and application instructions here...

Women's Health
Professor Leslie Leinwand studies the genetics and molecular physiology of inherited diseases of the heart and how gender and diet modify the heart. The study of these diseases has required multidisciplinary approaches, involving molecular biology, mouse genetics, mouse cardiac physiology, and the analysis of human tissues.

The HPP annually reports on progress throughout the field in credibly identifying and characterizing the human protein parts list and making proteomics an integral part of multi-omics studies in medicine and the life sciences. neXtProt release 2018-01, the baseline for the 6th annual HPP special issue of the Journal of Proteome Research, contains 17,470 PE1 proteins, 89% of all neXtProt predicted PE1-4 proteins, up from 17,008 in release 2017-01 and 13,975 in release 2012-02.  Read on here...
