WinPQ mobil V8 – New Major Release

We are pleased to inform you of a major upgrade of WinPQ mobile for A.Eberle PQ-Box Power Quality Analysers. WinPQ mobile version V8.0.0.1 is available for download at https://www.a-eberle.de/en/downloads/downloads-power-quality-mobile/.

New features include:

EN 50160 Analysis where ticks and crosses are added to aid understanding of PQ compliance
Vector diagram from stored Oscillograph diagrams
Vertical Marker, covers multiple data sets

PQ-Box 100 users please note:

Version 8, while it supports opening stored PC files from PQ-Box 100's, it does not support the connection to PQ-Box 100 for uploading/downloading or online measurements. For those still using PQ-Box 100’s there is ‘WinPQ mobil legacy V7.100.0.1’ which can be installed in parallel with V8 to connect to the box.

WinPQ mobil legacy V7.100.0.1 represents the final version for operating the PQ-Box 100.

iSPEC 2025: 20 August 2025

DIGSI 5 v10 for SIPROTEC 5

DIGSI 5 version 10 has been released, with support still for Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.

There are lots of incremental improvements, but significantly with DIGSI 10, process-bus functions are now available for the non-modular 7SY82 (Universal Protection Relay with Low Power CT and VT inputs). Initially this is for 7SY82-to-7SY82 communications with broader support expected in future releases.

Other DIGSI 5 improvements:

Convert child devices to typical masters
Granular protection for signals and display pages
Export settings to Excel
XRIO support for LPIT devices
R-GOOSE monitoring in IEC 61850 Supervisor

Other device improvements:

Turn-to-turn fault protection for transformers
Line Differential via Process Bus merging units (one SIP5 to protect three line ends with remote merging units)
End fault protection
7SX800 Compact supports PMU functionality
Cooper recloser curves added to overcurrent protection
CRL and OSCP support for cybersecurity certificate revocation

SIPROTEC TOOLS V2.30

Initially developed for panel builders, SIPROTEC Tools is becoming a useful alternative to DIGSI 5 for technician 'non-setting' applications. If you need to ‘connect’ to a SIPROTEC 5 relay and you are not familiar with what SIPROTEC Tools can do, contact us now to organise a training session.

Two phase-outs have been announced by Siemens

7XV5450-0BA00: Optical Mini Star Coupler

The Optical mini star coupler phase-out was announced some time ago, with the product being cancelled on 31-12-2025. This effectively means the unit will not be available for order after the end of the year.

Please note, that is possible to use the Siemens CM-0822 Fieldbus-interface 6MF111-0AJ22-0AA0 as an alternative to the min star coupler. Contact us for details.

7XV5461-0Bxxx Fibre Optic Repeaters

There was a change to the hardware version of Fibre Optic Repeaters some time ago (7XV5461-0Bxxx >> 7XV5461-0Cxxx). The older 'B' versions will no longer be available from 30/9/2025. 'C' versions have been supplied for some time and are still available.
