Test Blocks

In order to deliver improved value to our customers, we are changing the supplier of our 2RMLG01 Test Block.

For many years we have been supplying Siemens part number 7XG2220-1AA00-0AA0 “2RMLG01 Test Block - Vertical. Open 13-14 on cover removal”.

We are now stocking RMS part number 4M200-01 “Test Block 4M200 series. Vertical. 01=VVx open 13-14 on cover removal”.

The block(s) are identical (and interchangeable) in:

1)        Function

2)        Performance (and operation)

3)        Cutout dimensions

4)        Panel depth, height and width

5)        Earth point

6)        Terminal type position and numbers

7)        Fit and wiring screw terminals etc.

The only difference is front markings and the style of the cover. The new cover is clear, and makes it more obvious that contacts 13-14 are opened on removal of the cover. The new cover has a more reliable thread compared to the bayonet used in the older block. Unlike the old block, we can also get spares of the new cover if needed.

Please note the covers are NOT interchangeable between the two blocks.

HV Power's comparison of the two test blocks

The test fingers below can be used with either block.

Test Fingers (Test Plugs)

The 2RLMB-S1 is being replaced with 4M200-00, which is the same item, but with new part number engraved. It comes from the same supplier (RMS) and is essentially being renamed.

Both versions of the RMS Test Finger are 100% compatible with the Test Blocks described above.

Portable Off-line DGA Delivered

First featured at EEA 2024, we have now supplied our first MTE HYDROCAL portable DGA analyser to an Australian customer. If you are interested in a new alternative to your current off-line oil sampling where you are ‘sending samples off to the lab’, please contact us for more details.

You can take the 1011 gen XP to site to do your own analysis, saving time and money with the significant benefit of removing the concern of oil sample degradation that can occur when handling and sending samples to the lab.
