Huntingdon Valley Athletics Association is excited to announce the hiring of Travis Regner to become the soccer club's first Technical Director. Travis comes to the club having spent the past seven years in Eastern Pennsylvania soccer at both the college and club levels.
"I am beyond excited to begin my new role as Technical Director," says Regner. "When I first met Brad (Sorkin, Executive Director), it was clear that HVAA and its staff are passionate about putting the players first in everything they do. The proof is there for everyone to see. HVAA adds new travel soccer teams each year. This year, they added new office space and a film room for the club. The teams train and play on a state-of-the-art turf field with hi-tech Spiideo cameras to record games. The future is bright for HVAA, and I am so excited to be a part of it," says Regner.

Travis’ previous experiences at both large youth clubs and the college level will provide him with the experience and sensibility we need as we navigate the remarkable growth that HVAA is having.”
Regner comes to HVAA having spent the previous seven years at Lower Merion Soccer Club and, most recently FC Bucks, holding coaching and administrative roles at both clubs. At the college level, Travis started as an assistant coach at Eastern University, making multiple NCAA Tournaments before transitioning to Villanova University as an assistant for the women's team. Regner is currently an assistant coach at Temple University, where he has been on staff since the spring of 2021.
"The energy and momentum that HVAA has built is palpable from everyone you meet within the club," says Regner. "It makes players excited to come to training, coaches driven to provide a good session, and club leadership ambitious to continue growing the club. I can't wait to get started, meet everyone within the club, and help grow that positive energy and momentum".
Regner currently holds his USSF D License, United Soccer Coaches GK 1&2, Barcelona Tactical Analysis, Tovo V1, and various other licenses.
