Valley Book Fair this Week | | |
Valley's Scholastic Book Fair kicks off tomorrow and runs through Friday, January 30th!
Hours: The Valley Book Fair will be open every day after school until 3:30pm (Wed until 2:30pm) in the Library. Students will also have the opportunity to shop during their designated class time (Middle Schoolers will visit the book fair during PE class).
How to Pay: Students & families can purchase books with cash, card, Apple pay, or eWallet—set up your student's eWALLET for a chance to win a Pudger's Cookies Gift Pack!
Volunteers: There are still a few open spots to help out! SIGN UP to work the registers. No experience necessary and you can even bring your kiddos to help out!

This week, HBCSD will join schools across America in creating kindness by taking part in The Great Kindness Challenge 2026! From January 26th-30th, our HVS students and staff will be asked to engage in acts of kindness through daily themes and activities - all of which focus on care, respect, and inclusion. This week is designed to recognize and promote kindness across our Hermosa Schools and beyond. See the Kindness Week Flyer to find out what fun activities are planned at HVS.
And, don't forget to wear school colors or Spirit Wear on Friday, January 30th. Order by tomorrow, January 26th and your order will be delivered to your child's classroom/ homeroom in time for Spirit Wear Friday!

Parents/Guardians: If you haven't already done so, please make sure to complete the Intent to Return Form in your PowerSchool Parent Portal by this Friday, January 30th.
A separate form must be completed for each child who is currently enrolled in the District. If needed, you can review the PowerSchool Parent Portal Directions to create or reset your password. We appreciate our HVS families completing this form.

New Student Enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year is NOW OPEN for grades TK-8th at HBCSD.ORG. If a family resides outside of Hermosa Beach and is interested in applying for an interdistrict attendance permit to attend a Hermosa school, please click here for more information. Current students returning to our Hermosa Schools next year will be required to complete registration paperwork that will be available in the summer of 2026.
