| | Help Bring School Counselors to 100% | | |
HBEF is bridging the gap to move our Hermosa View and Vista counselors from part-time (80%) to 100% full-time status for the 2026-2027 school year. Our goal is 3 full-time counselors on-site daily to support all 1,450 students!
š Counselor Spotlight: Troi Boucher
Troi Boucher aka Ms. B is a trusted adult for students at Hermosa Vista, playing a critical role in supporting their social-emotional well-being. She provides essential classroom instruction through the Second Step curriculum which teaches skills such as growth mindset, kindness, empathy, problem solving, and emotional management. Students at Hermosa Vista actively seek her out for support through Friendship Club during unstructured times such as recess and lunch to address their social-emotional needs. She also provides intervention for students who need extra support through group counseling, check-in & check-out system, and individual counseling to ensure students receive social-emotional support so that they can fully access their learning environment.
Deadline: Donate HERE by June 7th to help us get to 100%!
Together, we can make Hermosa schools stronger!

Please vote for HBEF by this Tuesday, June 2nd! Our generous Community Partner, Lazy Acres, is selecting partners for their Envirotokens program for next year. (If youāve shopped at Lazy Acres, youāve seen this program in action: Shoppers receive a token for each reusable bag they bring into the store and they can deposit those tokens into the box for the organizations they wish to support.)
Over the last school year, HBEF has earned over $1,200 ā just from Envirotokens! We need YOUR help to keep HBEF included as an Envirotokens partner for next year: VOTE for HBEF today!
Please spread the word to all of your friends, family, and neighbors, too! Again, voting closes June 2nd.
