NO DELAY FOR MLK HOLIDAY

Trash collection is not affected by Martin Luther King Jr observances. Please set out recycling and trash after 4:00 pm Monday and 7:00 am Tuesday.
SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT

The owners of approximately 13 homes in the City have received notice that sewer main replacement will occur in the utility easements behind their homes in 2023. Two small segments of the sewer main are too badly damaged for the less-invasive “lining” process that is being used in other areas: at Allor and Lincoln, and at Borgman and Wyoming. The City will continue to follow up the hand-delivered notifications with ongoing information and assistance, from the first stakes in the ground to property restoration.
MENS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

The Men's Club is offering scholarships to those residing in Huntington Woods who are graduating high school or attending college/university. Please read the application and qualifications for further details.
SEWER LINING UPDATE

Our contractor Lanzo has been lining certain portions of sewer in the City. This is a long-lasting repair method that eliminates the need to dig up sewers and destroy landscaping and trees. Each affected home will receive a gold-colored door hanger to notify the resident about the work. Please read it carefully and call Lanzo’s number on the door hanger with any questions or concerns. The project should be completed in a couple of weeks, but each affected home should only have one day of inconvenience (mainly minimizing water use during the one day). Most homes in the City will not be affected at all. Those with lots where sewer excavations need to take place will be contacted on an individual basis.
CHRISTMAS TREE CHIPPING

The DPW will pick up and chip your Christmas trees that are set on the right-of-way for Wednesday chipping. If inclement weather prevents us from chipping on a Wednesday, we will do it on the next favorable day. Please remove all ornaments, wrapping, light strands, or anything else that is not the tree itself.
