Oak Grove Honored with Prestigious Grant!
National Endowment for the Arts Awards a Challenge America Grant of $10,00) to Oak Grove! Tammy Wilson, CEO, said “We are thrilled to expand our arts program to include visiting guest artists who will provide instruction for students in a variety of artistic mediums, including dance and drama and strengthen our music, and visual arts instruction.” Ariel Wilson, Visual Arts Instructor added, “the Arts transform our kids into confident and expressive young adults who aren't afraid to try new things or think outside of the box. Our goal is for each child to find the mode of expression best suited to them and greater resources make that possible.”
NEA Chairman Jane Chu said, “The arts are part of our everyday lives – no matter who you are or where you live – they have the power to transform individuals, spark economic vibrancy in communities, and transcend the boundaries across diverse sectors of society. Supporting projects like the one from Oak Grove Center offers more opportunities to engage in the arts every day.”

. Over 20 + Foster youth at Oak Grove were presented with
brand new shoes and socks this holiday thanks to our 3rd District Supervisor Chuck Washington who made it possible for the Rose Again Foundation to provide New Balance shoes to Foster Youth throughout Riverside

Our youngest ones look forward to the holiday's and their special time with the Oak Grove Committee from The
Temecula Valley Woman's Club
!! What a great day making beautiful decorations for their dorm rooms, trimming their very own tree brought for them by the club, and opening presents for everyone to enjoy like games, cards, yarn and model car kits! The TVWC outdid themselves this year by presenting the entire dorm with 2 iPod's to share filled with their favorite music and games! We can't thank our friends from the Temecula Valley Woman's Club enough for their continued support of our kids!

So proud of our student runners for the great job they did last Friday at their first 5k. THANK YOU Coach Lauren Campfield and staff. We even had a wonderful Mom come to cheer her daughter on. When we left Murrieta it was raining but by the time the race started in Del Mar, it was windy but no rain. Lizzie loved running as well. Dinner at Dominicks in Fallbrook after. GREAT DAY!!! THANK You supporters for your help encouraging our student athletes!!
