Letter from Fr Joseph:

Habemus Papam! Welcome, Pope Leo XIV!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Yesterday, the Church had chosen a new successor of Peter, Pope Leo XIV. Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost was elected, the first pope from the United States.

I marvel at the grace of the name he has chosen.

His predecessor Pope Leo XIII consecrated the 20th Century to the Holy Spirit, praying for unity among Christians and for a new and ongoing Pentecost, on January 1, 1901… a prayer than has been answered in millions of lives and in the life of the Church in glorious ways ever since.

May the Spirit of the Living God fall afresh on our new Bishop of Rome!

Join us in praying for the Lord to anoint, inspired, protect, and guide Pope Leo XIV and to ignite a new Pentecost in the Church and in the world through his ministry with the prayer below.

Veni, Creator Spiritus.

In the Almighty Love of Christ,

In Jesus thru Mary and St Joseph,

Fr Joseph

P.S. Blessed Mothers Day to all of our mothers. We love you and are grateful for you and pray for you.

To learn more about our new pope, see his bio here.

Join us in Prayer

Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, send forth your Spirit. Pour out a new and ongoing Pentecost, bringing the fullness of Life in the Spirit to the whole Church, through the witness and ministry of Pope Leo XIV.

Come, Holy Spirit! Fall afresh on the whole Church that we might receive an experience of the Love of the Father and fully surrender to Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Come, Holy Spirit! Fill us with Your power and presence. Transform us with Your sanctifying gifts to make us holy, and equip us with Your charismatic gifts for the building up of the Church, and the evangelization of the world. Create in us a new heart, that we may be conformed to Your will, and be one in Christ.

Loving Father, grant us expectant faith. Enkindle in us Your Holy Spirit that we may more deeply receive, understand, and share baptism in the Holy Spirit and the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit. Raise up, anoint, equip, and unite new and existing Renewal Leaders among the clergy, religious, and lay faithful to ignite a new and ongoing Pentecost in the Church and in the world.

Come, Holy Spirit! Grant us the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Fill us with joy and strength when we are weak, perseverance and zeal when we are tired, and holy boldness as we testify and proclaim the Word. Come, Lord Jesus.

We ask this of God our Father, in union with the Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
