April 30 - May 6 is National Small Business Week.  
  • There are 680,628 registered establishments in Georgia (SOS: 3/1/17)
  • According to the Georgia Department of Labor, 302,499 business establishments represented Georgia employment in 2Q of 2016. Of those:
    • 99.8% are categorized as small (fewer than 500 employees)
    • 97.7% employed fewer than 100
    • 94.6% employed fewer than 50
    • 78% employed fewer than 10 
 
In recognition of Small Business Week, the Chamber will host a luncheon seminar on May 2.  See information below for registration.  This is one seminar you do not want to miss.

The Depot museum is a train lovers delight. Located downtown next to the Big Red Apple monument.  Artifacts include memorabilia from Southern Railway Company and the Tallulah Falls Railroad Company and two restored cabooses.  An electric car charging station is located on site as well as a kid's splash pad.
