Habersham Medical Center to launch new online patient portal;                                    Easier access to health information

Habersham Medical Center will soon launch an online patient portal that will enable patients fast and easy access to their hospital medical records from personal computers.

"Our new electronic medical record system or patient portal will launch in July, 2014 and we are encouraging patients to go ahead and sign-up now," says Jerry Wise, president and CEO. "It is a personalized, safe and secure communication link to the hospital allowing patients the ability to view portions of their medical records including lab results, medications and immunizations. The new patient portal will also allow patients the ability to save their information on their own computer as well as transfer the information to other healthcare providers."

To sign-up for the new patient portal, patients can email [email protected].  In the email include first name, last name, mailing address, date of birth and phone number.  When the program launches, those who have signed-up will receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to complete the registration process and obtain access.
