Greetings!

I don’t believe that I have experienced a busier month here at Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County than the one that is just about to end.

April began with our largest fundraiser - Dance the Night Away - by all accounts a wonderful and successful evening enjoyed by all. By the middle of the month we were prepared to celebrate the heartwarming and well attended home dedication on Beardsley Street with Celeste E. Miranda and Smerlin Mesa Rosario and their family. The month’s important events continued on April 27th, as Youth United inaugurated a new community service opportunity with a fantastic Rock the Block and we capped the month with an exciting ground-breaking ceremony – launching the construction of a new neighborhood of seven homes to be constructed on Granfield Ave.

The list of events and celebrations doesn’t begin to tell you the amount of work and the unbelievable number of generous and dedicated Habitat CFC donors, volunteers, staff and families that made them all happen. And, of course, not one of these special events slowed us from the very busy spring building season or our ongoing efforts to select and prepare our next group of future homeowners.

Habitat CFC is committed to a world in which everyone has a decent place to live. April 2019 certainly got us a little close to that goal –but we still have an awful lot to do. Please, join us!

Sincerely,
Stuart D. Adelberg
Chief Executive Officer

Building The Board
Meet Habitat CFC's Newest Board Member
Habitat CFC added a new board member in March, with the election of Marc Kosak , Senior Vice-President of Administration at Greenwich Hospital, a member, of the Yale New Haven Health System. A resident of Trumbull, Marc is very familiar with the diversity of Fairfield County communities, and is excited to help Habitat CFC expand affordable homeownership opportunities for hard working families throughout the region.
Interested in Homeownership?
Habitat CFC’s Family Services Department hosts informational meetings for prospective homeowners several times a year. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about both the process and the selection criteria for Habitat CFC’s affordable homeownership program we encourage you to call our office at 203-333-2642 or visit https://www.habitatcfc.org/apply-for-a-house/ Habitat CFC homeowners work hard helping to build their houses and taking classes designed to ensure their success, but the opportunity to own a new, affordable Habitat CFC home is life-changing for every member of the family.
