December 2018
Home for the Holidays
The 2018 holiday season is a little bit more heartwarming than usual for our four Clarke Estates partner families. The Chavez, Hayes, Nall, and Ortiz families all moved into their Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) houses just in time to celebrate the holidays in their new homes.

Carlos Valdez Is Our
December Volunteer
of the Month
Carlos Valdez first caught what we call “Habititis” two years ago, when his local congregation, St. James Catholic Church of Redondo Beach, came out for a build day.

Make Room for the New:
Donate to Habitat LA ReStores
The holidays are a perfect time to treat yourself to a new couch, upgrade your washer and dryer, or find that rug that really ties the whole room together. But what to do with your old items? Donate them to the Habitat LA ReStores.

Giving Just Got Easier For
Retired Federal Employees
Are you a current or retired federal employee? If so, you can make tax-deductible contributions to Habitat LA through the Combined Federal Campaign, the world’s most inclusive workplace giving program.

Help Repair Homes
For Homeowners in Need
Have you ever wanted to learn how to renovate a bathroom or replace a roof? Or do you already have these skills? If so, you might be interested in volunteering with our Home Preservation program. This program serves existing homeowners who may be unable to perform repairs that will allow them to remain in their own homes.

Attention Low-Income Homeowners
In the City of Whittier!
Do you need home repairs that you can’t perform yourself? Habitat LA has partnered with the City of Whittier to provide needy homeowners up to $5,000 in home renovations to address health, safety, and security issues around the house.

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
