Last week our CEO, Colleen Robinson was in the “other” Washington advocating for Federal programs that impact Habitat for Humanity Affiliates through funding and programs. Colleen met with Rep. Derek Kilmer and staff members from Sen. Maria Cantwell & Sen. Patty Murray Offices. HOTH (Habitat on the Hill) is an annual event in Washington DC hosted by Habitat for Humanity International Government Relations Advocacy Team.  Advocacy for Affordable Homeownership is essential for Habitat to continue our work – Habitat for Humanity works to increase affordability by influencing policies and system focused on supply and preservation, access to credit, zoning and land use. We work on advocacy issues at the local, state and federal level.
