Dear Carolyn,
The snow and cold in February made it tough for our volunteers and student builders so I am excited to be on the edge of spring with more warmth and sunshine for our crews to build.
Speaking of building, in Ayer, the interior framing is going up as well as exterior decking. In Leominster, the students are working on shingling the roof, entrances, and framing. The two projects are moving along well and the homeowners in Ayer, including Nikki shown signing her letter of intent at the right, have started working on their sweat equity hours. We are working with RE Architect on our plans for the Acton homes and office space as well as agreements for a project in Littleton.
The homeownership application for 75 Tenth Street in Leominster opened last month, two information meetings were held with over 70 attendees, and over 100 application packets have been distributed. We have received 21 full applications so far and more are expected before our deadline of March 27th. The need for affordable housing is great so it's good to know that after this home we will have at least two more homes starting by summer.

Our Dueling Pianos event at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley is coming up on March 13th and tickets are going fast so be sure to get yours soon.
