Dear Habitat Friend,
Happy New Year! Last year ended wonderfully for Habitat NCM with so many of you making donations to keep us building in 2022 and for that I am very thankful. We couldn't build without you and your support.
We have started working inside on the Hubbardston house and look forward to making great progress in February. The subfloor is now in and we're starting to build the walls and add insulation. We could use your help on Saturdays and during February school vacation, and you can contact michelle@ncmhabitat.org to learn more. We are also in the final stages of approval for our new homeowner and I will be introducing the family soon!
In Acton, we have approval for our septic system and we're excited to be starting this build. We're also ready to form an Acton Local Project Committee for this project so please let me know if you are interested!
We have completed several critical home repair projects in the last few weeks including the ramp shown to the right that was built to help a Pepperell homeowner to safely leave his home. We also completed three roofing projects and a door replacement. Several more projects are planned for the coming weeks and we're grateful for the support of wonderful local organizations including Main Street Bank, Rollstone Foundation, Wallace Foundation, Crocker Foundation, Middlesex Bank, Greater Lowell and North Central MA Community Foundations, and AARP.
I hope you all remain healthy and warm over the coming weeks, and thank you for help in expanding affordable housing in north central MA.
