January 2022
Dear Habitat Friend,

Happy New Year! Last year ended wonderfully for Habitat NCM with so many of you making donations to keep us building in 2022 and for that I am very thankful. We couldn't build without you and your support.

We have started working inside on the Hubbardston house and look forward to making great progress in February. The subfloor is now in and we're starting to build the walls and add insulation. We could use your help on Saturdays and during February school vacation, and you can contact michelle@ncmhabitat.org to learn more. We are also in the final stages of approval for our new homeowner and I will be introducing the family soon!

In Acton, we have approval for our septic system and we're excited to be starting this build. We're also ready to form an Acton Local Project Committee for this project so please let me know if you are interested!

We have completed several critical home repair projects in the last few weeks including the ramp shown to the right that was built to help a Pepperell homeowner to safely leave his home. We also completed three roofing projects and a door replacement. Several more projects are planned for the coming weeks and we're grateful for the support of wonderful local organizations including Main Street Bank, Rollstone Foundation, Wallace Foundation, Crocker Foundation, Middlesex Bank, Greater Lowell and North Central MA Community Foundations, and AARP.

I hope you all remain healthy and warm over the coming weeks, and thank you for help in expanding affordable housing in north central MA.
In partnership and gratitude,

Volunteering at Habitat NCM
Thank you to Leaktite Corporation for sending a crew to help us out in Hubbardston, as well as the many new and returning individual volunteers who joined us during the month to help in Acton, Hubbardston and with Critical Home Repairs!

We continue to need construction volunteers (individuals or groups!) especially in Hubbardston on Saturdays, and we can always use help at the ReStore in Leominster and the office, too. Please register online to join us or send an email to volunteer@ncmhabitat.org with any questions!
A Visit to the ReStore
The ReStore is open for in-person shopping! Our hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10-5, and you can learn more about our safety protocols on our website. Please note that non-vaccinated shoppers are encouraged to still wear a mask when visiting the ReStore.

Keep us in mind for your donations! We will pick up large donations, and you can also request to be added to the schedule through our website.
