July 2018
Dear Habitat Friend,

I'm loving the summer and the great building weather but I'm also truly looking forward to autumn this year! We have so many wonderful events planned, plus we'll be working on multiple critical home repair projects, continuing the great progress on the homes on School Street in Acton, and moving forward with plans for our next new homes as well. It's a busy time!

I hope you can join us at our mid-build ceremony at 43-45 School Street on August 23rd at 4:00 pm. We'll be introducing the future homeowners--the Lubega and Sunshine families--and we're so excited for you to meet them! We're also excited for the 5th annual Building Dreams Golf Tournament, a wonderful art show fundraiser sponsored by Artists Corner and Gallery in Acton, our fourth Toast to Hope tasting event, and a book discussion led by UMASS professor John Mullin on mill villages and affordable housing. Details for all of the events are below so mark your calendars and plan to be there!

I'm so grateful for your support of our building, families, and mission. You are making a difference in our community!

In partnership,
Carolyn

Volunteering at Habitat NCM
Fantastic progress in Acton... the building continues every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Volunteers are also invited to join us every Wednesday through Saturday at the Leominster ReStore.

Special thanks this month to Workers' Credit Union, PJ Keating for helping rebuild a ramp in Fitchburg, and to Acton Congregational Church, Sudbury UMC, and the many private groups and individual volunteers.

Ready to Volunteer? Click below for all our construction, ReStore, office and other upcoming opportunities. For questions, please call Clare on 978-348-2749 x205 or send an e-mail.
A Visit to the ReStore
The ReStore is our discount home improvement center. We accept donations of new and gently used items from individuals and local businesses, and sell to the public at a reduced cost, usually 50-70% of the original retail value. All profits support home ownership for hard working, low income families in North Central Massachusetts, while keeping good, reusable materials in use and out of the landfill.
Open Wednesday through Saturday, 10am-5pm.
