30 Years of Building Together

Dear Reader,

Since 1994, we have built 107 homes in partnership with families and the community. This 2024, we're elated to celebrate the 30-YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Habitat for Humanity of Denton County!

For three decades, we've made it our mission to bring our community together to build dreams and provide a safe and secure place called 'Home'.

We believe that everyone deserves a decent place to live, and every hand lent in assistance brings us closer to realizing this vision.

On this monumental anniversary, we'd like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated team of volunteers, generous donors, partner families, and the incredible community of Denton County. Your immense support has been the cornerstone of the homes - and hope - we've built.

As we reflect on our past and look to the future, we invite you all to join us in continuing this transformative journey. Together, we can ensure that every family has a safe, dignified and affordable place to call home.

What better way to celebrate this anniversary by kicking off the construction of the much anticipated Habitat Village. We invite you to be apart of the foundation of hope for this new community. Stay tuned for more details!

Lora Blakeslee Atkinson, MNM

Executive Director

Granite Construction

We extend our deepest gratitude to Granite Construction for their overwhelming generosity in making a $30,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity of Denton County for the Habitat Village!

Their incredible support has played a significant role in providing safe, affordable homes to families in need in Denton County.

We have seen some of the most hardworking and kind volunteers from this organization. To have them on board for the Habitat Village is not only exciting, it is an honor!

The Habitat Village

It is exciting to announce that our upcoming project, the Habitat Village, is getting closer to mobilization!

We can't wait to share more with you in the coming months. Keep an eye out for updates on our website as we get closer to the launch!

Located in Southeast Denton between Duncan St. and Hill St. and along Smith St., the Habitat Village will allow Habitat for Humanity of Denton County to have a firm foundation on which to build 35 affordable homes for the next 8-10 years!

We are thankful for all the donors, volunteers, and community members that continue to help make this dream a reality.
