RADAR CAMERAS NOW ACTIVE

INITIAL OBSERVATIONS FOUND BELOW

As noted above, at the request of the neighborhood to curtail speeding issue on our village streets along with the ability to monitor incidents 24/7, the Board approved the purchase of three radar cameras. These cameras have been installed, calibrated, and are up and operational. The locations are:

  • Southern Oak on west side of the Park

  • On the north side of bridge near Gate 1

  • On the southeast side of bridge near Gate 4.

The intention of the installation of radar cameras is to change behavior regarding speeding - not to generate revenue. No fines are being issued by these three radar cameras at this time

Courtesy notices (no fines) will be going out approximately mid-month in order to give the community offenders an opportunity to alter their driving behavior, if needed. This grace period is also a good opportunity to educate/remind guests and visitors on our speed limits to avoid future fines.

Beginning July 1, 2023, we will issue fines in compliance with the HOA Traffic Fine Schedule for any speeding offenses captured by these three radar cameras.
