Determining Damage From The Ground Up

Take a look for damaged landscaping and trees around the property. If windows in buildings and on vehicles have been broken, that is also a good indicator of your roof's damage. Once you determine that your roof may have damage, call a local and qualified roofing contractor for a closer inspection. 
More Than Meets The Eye

Hail damage to commercial buildings can be difficult to detect right away, even if the damage is substantial. Depending on your type of roof, a core sample may need to be cut and sent to a building forensics lab for analysis. Other roof types may be easier to determine by looking for a circular or star shaped dent at the point of impact. Each type of roof has its own unique damage profile so it is important to choose a contractor that is well versed in your type of roof material.
