Hako Exhibit Debut
Saturday, June 3
Step into a world where art and technology meet with our newest exhibit, Hako. Perfect for families and visitors of all ages, this exhibit showcases a unique, 360-degree projection-mapped pop-up sculpture that brings a simple shape to life in new, inspired ways. Zip in to the Lights On! exhibit space and immerse yourself in the mesmerizing projection shows featuring designs from artists around the world. Find out how you could be a part of this international art collaboration.
Stepping Stones is Hako's newest location. Since it's creation in 2020 by the California-based BARTKRESA studios, these Hako art displays have been seen in places like Barcelona, Spain; Wellington, New Zealand; Santa Barbara, California and Hudson, New York.

Lillie's Laugh Track

Why did the ladybug cross the road? To get to Stepping Stones, of course! Join us this Saturday for Lillie’s Laugh Track, a live comedic, staff-performed puppetry improv show that’s sure to be gut-bustin’ fun for the whole family.

Mighty Migration
Tuesday, June 6
2:00 - 2:30 pm
Take flight with us as the Mighty Migration show soars back in to the museum for another whimsical and musical journey. Join the Stepping Stones Storytellers as they travel through the museum with a missing flock of birds, bringing them right back to home in an immersive puppet parade.

Free Pediatric
Dental Screenings
Wednesday, June 7
3:00 – 5:00 pm
To highlight the importance of dental care and help make every child's smile just a little brighter, the Norwalk Community Health Center (NCHC) will be offering free dental screenings for children 6 months to 18 years of age at Stepping Stones on June 7 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm! Each visit would be approximately 15 minutes, which allows for the hygienist's examination and feedback regarding the child’s needs.
Though walk-ins are welcome, scheduling an appointment is recommended. Call 203-851-1045 or visit www.norwalkchc.org.
*Dental screenings will take place on a mobile medical unit in the Bus Circle outside the Stepping Stones.

Support the Open Arms Initiative | |
Ball Tower Campaign
We need your help to ensure that children and families of all abilities and backgrounds have to access the museum through our Open Arms accessibility initiative.
Donate $10 and receive five balls to toss into the mesh tower. Our goal is to fill the tower and raise $10,000 for Open Arms.
Ask our Welcome Desk or The Shop staff how you can have a ball and help fill the tower!

Lawn Sign Campaign
Local first-grader Isabella Serrao came up with an idea to launch a “Heart Stepping Stones” lawn sign campaign to help children and families of all abilities and backgrounds to access the museum. through our Open Arms accessibility initiative.
To support Isabella’s vision and the power of playful learning for ALL children at Stepping Stones, purchase a lawn sign for $45 in the museum’s gift shop or online. You’ll receive a weather-resistant, 12” X 12” wooden sign with a sturdy wooden stake, perfect for displaying your Stepping Stones love in your front yard or garden.

NEEDED: More Respondents
Stepping Stones is participating in a national survey of museum-goers, sponsored by the American Alliance of Museums. We need a few hundred more respondents. This survey will provide us with data from our visitors as well as nationwide results that can help us best serve this community and make a difference moving forward.

Puppetry Arts Summer Camp and Festival
Wednesdays - Fridays
July 5 - August 4
2:00 - 5:00 pm
This summer, aspiring puppeteers ages 10 to 15 years old can take matters into their own hands and join us for an enriching, new puppetry arts summer camp experience here at Stepping Stones!
Led by Museum Puppeteer TJ Jacobs, the camp will teach:
- Puppet design, fabrication and performance
- Scenic and prop design and fabrication
- Playwriting and play devising
- Event marketing
This 5-week camp culminates in a free, public Puppetry Arts Festival on August 4 that will showcase the participants' work and feature craft stations where visitors will create art objects and instruments to be incorporated into the performance.
