Dear Durango Derailers,

I can’t express how much you have helped my family and me over the years. Dr. Miller first told us about your organization nearly 12 years ago, and since then we’ve had to rely on your support a handful of times, more often in recent years.

Unfortunately, a very rare clotting disorder affects three of my four children. Due to the rarity of this disorder, the doctors in Durango do not feel comfortable treating us. We are referred to Denver for care for anything, big or small. In those times, your assistance has brought us comfort, both emotionally and financially. There is relief in knowing we have support for lodging, gas cards, and other critical needs during what are always stressful and worrisome times for our children’s health.

Thank you for all you do – not only for my family, but for so many other families facing medical challenges.
