Dear Friends,
Well, we've made it halfway through 2020, and this point in the year marks a great moment to take stock of how far we've come and where we still want to go. While this year certainly hasn't gone the way anyone planned, there's still time for us to meet the moment and adapt to the new challenges that are facing us. Like many of us, you probably had to rewrite your business plan or cancel a vacation. And even though we can't celebrate the Fourth of July the way we have in years past, however, now is the time for us to make new traditions, try new things, and work towards building the future that we want to see for ourselves.
I hope each and every one of you has a safe, happy, and healthy Independence Day with a few of the people you care most about.

COVID-19 ‘superspreading’ took place across metro Atlanta, study finds
|
Cases where an infected person spread COVID-19 to eight or more people have taken place repeatedly in metro Atlanta’s largest counties, a recent Emory University study found, highlighting how a single gathering can drive the spread of the virus.
Scores of instances of what scientists call superspreading took place from March through early May in Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties and hard-hit Dougherty in south Georgia, researchers found. In all, about 2% of infected people may have directly infected 20% of all those with confirmed cases. A handful likely infected 15 or more people.
