The Peer Mentor Program at Hall High School gives Hall students the opportunity to work alongside a student from one of the West Hartford elementary or middle schools as a mentor.
Each high school student who is interested should attend our “virtual” informational/training session (via google meet) on
Thursday, October 19 at 2:30-3:30/3:45 p.m.
Email carol_wilkas@whps.org if interested.
Peer Mentor applications are available in the
Student Activities College and Career Center.
The prospective peer mentors will complete the application indicating
why they believe they would be a strong mentor. The students will also choose
their top three school placements. All students in grades nine through twelve are
eligible to participate in the program. Peer mentors will then be assigned a
mentee whom they will meet with once a week at the designated school for
approximately 30 minutes to one hour.
This is a unique experience to make a
difference in the life of a young child and give back to the school community.
In addition, a high school student who is interested in becoming a part of the
educational field will gain real-world knowledge.
Our hope is to have a great turnout this year!
