The sun is shining in the sky

There ain't a cloud in sight

It's stopped raining, everybody's in the play

And don't you know it's a beautiful new day?

Veterans Day Recognition

Nov. 10 at 12:15pm

Each year, Hall High School commemorates Veterans Day by hosting a group of veterans for recognition and celebration.

We provide a lunch catered by our Foods classes. Visiting veterans are our guests of honor at a special concert performed by our incomparable vocal, orchestral, and symphonic band programs.

This year, our recognition will be held on Friday, November 10 at 12:15 pm.

If you are a veteran, on active duty, or in the reserves, we would love for you to join us as we celebrate your service.

Please reach out to Nichole Richman, Social Studies Department Supervisor, at nichole_richman@whps.org.

We ask that you please RSVP by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD, as we will need an accurate count of attendees in order to plan for lunch.

If you would like to share a photograph of a beloved veteran for display at Hall High School, please fill out this form.

We look forward to celebrating your loved one, regardless of their ability to join us in person!

Hall High School Peer Mentor Program

Opportunity - Learn More

The Peer Mentor Program at Hall High School gives Hall students the opportunity to work alongside a student from one of the West Hartford elementary or middle schools as a mentor.

Each high school student who is interested should attend our “virtual” informational/training session (via google meet) on

Thursday, October 19 at 2:30-3:30/3:45 p.m.

Email carol_wilkas@whps.org if interested.

Peer Mentor applications are available in the

Student Activities College and Career Center.

The prospective peer mentors will complete the application indicating

why they believe they would be a strong mentor. The students will also choose

their top three school placements. All students in grades nine through twelve are

eligible to participate in the program. Peer mentors will then be assigned a

mentee whom they will meet with once a week at the designated school for

approximately 30 minutes to one hour.

This is a unique experience to make a

difference in the life of a young child and give back to the school community.

In addition, a high school student who is interested in becoming a part of the

educational field will gain real-world knowledge.

Our hope is to have a great turnout this year!
