Dear JPB Friends and Family,
JPB’s youth peace and leadership institutes have just launched! The campsites look amazing, and our staff and participants are excited and engaged. As you read this note, powerful workshops, dialogue, and recreational activities are all taking place.
Because of your generosity and support, there are four youth institutes in Texas and Connecticut from July 31 – August 14 with 100 Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Druze and Alawi teen-participants and staff.
Dedicated volunteers, JPB board-members, and senior staff members have worked tirelessly for months. We applied for over 70 entry visas to the United States and distributed over $40,000 of scholarship funds. The US Embassy in Israel reported that ours was the largest single block of visas ever granted.
Soon, you will be enjoying the many social media posts, photographs, and videos that we will be sharing over the next two weeks. If you live in Connecticut, come join the teens as they lead the Interfaith Service Day, starting on the New Haven Green on Sunday, August 7 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. If you live in the Houston, please meet the teens at the Interfaith Cultural Evening at Palmer Church on Thursday, August 11 at 6:00pm. Spending time with these courageous youth will change your life.
