STUDENT LED CONFERENCES
The Academy started student-led conferences on Monday, and they will be happening all week. If you have any questions about your conference time, please feel free to give us a call at 562.283.4456.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT CONFERENCES
We align the conference process with our mission: to foster student's growth in the intellectual virtues in a thoughtful, challenging, and supportive academic environment. We believe partnering with our Academy families, collaboratively and holistically guides our students towards success.

Every Academy student is given the opportunity to take the lead, and speak their truth, while demonstrating intellectual courage and thoroughness. Students write reflection letters to identify what struggles they have faced, and where they have grown. Students thoughtfully connect their experiences to the virtues, deepening their understanding of their own thinking and learning. Finally, conference reflections end with appreciations.
GROWING OUR COMMUNITY
The Academy welcomed just under fifty prospective students and parents to the campus last Saturday for the first Information Session of the school year!

Visitors engaged in thinking-routines, interactive sessions, and a mini advisory!

Two more Information Sessions are coming up on Thurs., Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. and Wed., Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. If you have a sibling, friend, or neighbor looking into high school for next year, this is a great time to encourage them to submit an application .
INTELLECTUAL COURAGE A readiness to persist in thinking or communicating in the face of fear, including fear of embarrassment or failure. Slogan:  Take risks!
MURALIST BEGINS THIS SATURDAY!
The Academy is excited to announce that Pow! Wow! Artist Bodeck Hernandez will begin painting the Academy's mural facade this coming Saturday! Keep a look out for more development as the Academy continues campus renovations. Below is a picture of the outside design.
