Fire Prevention Month
October is Fire Prevention Month. Is your family and home prepared in case of a fire emergency? Every family should have a fire emergency plan. The most important part of this plan is to be sure to change batteries in your smoke and CO alarms and test them. Twice yearly, when we change the clocks is a perfect time to change the batteries. 3 out of every 5 home fire deaths resulted from fires in home with no working smoke alarms, and less than 50% of homeowners have an escape plan.
