Our annual Halloween parade and party is almost here! Wear your costumes and be ready for a dazzling performance by the incomparable Queer Big Apple Corp marching band.

The parade will begin at Greenwich Street & Beach Street at 1pm sharp then make its way south along Greenwich Street into Washington Market Park.

COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP DAY!

Thank you neighborhood families, students from Hunter College High School, and Givaudan for its generous contribution and volunteer power at our community day October 19th! We also appreciate Whole Foods fueling the volunteers with snacks.

The park's garden beds look a lot cleaner with 20 bags of microlitter removed!

KEEPING OUR PARK CLEAN AND SAFE

We’re committed to keeping Washington Market Park a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

We continue to work with NYC Parks to increase trash removal to keep the park cleaner. We've heard your concerns about rodent activity and can share that bi-weekly treatments have been underway since October 8th. For this reason, on Tuesday and Friday mornings the park will open a little later (by 9am.)

Thank you for continuing to report any sightings or safety issues via 311 (with exact locations and photos if possible) and via email. Your feedback helps keep the park safe for everyone.
