Wheatland, Missouri (August 24, 2016) - One of the most-popular events of the year will conclude the Lucas Oil Speedway season when the Monster Truck Nationals arrive for an early Halloween celebration of raw power.

Mark your calendar for October 22 when over 60,000 pounds of Monster Truck Thunder makes its annual visit for a big one-day show. It will combine scary speed, ground-shaking sound of furious action from six world-famous Monster Trucks - Bigfoot, Raminator, Heavy Hitter, Barbarian, Snakebite and Dawg Pound.

Joining those 10-foot-tall and 10,000-pound giant trucks will be the car-eating, flame-throwing mechanical monster form the Jurassic age - Megasaurus - and the high-horsepower stunts of Wheelie Wizard.

Bigfoot will be in action at Lucas Oil Speedway on Oct. 22 for the Monster Truck Nationals.

A free Pit Party is included in the paid adult admission ticket and will start the evening at 5 p.m. Kids are invited to come in Halloween costume to the Pit Party for Trick or Treating. Fans also can take a Real Monster Truck Ride at the Pit Party, during intermission and immediately following the Monster Truck program, which fires up at7 p.m.

When the Monster Trucks begin battle with their 1,500-horsepower motors go full throttle at the green light, the competition gets serious. Bigfoot will look to throw a Halloween scare into the challengers as the "Original Monster Truck."  

The program will include high-flying wheelies, spinning donuts, long jumps, side-by-side races and car-crushing, axle-wrenching freestyles that are sure to amaze the crown. And while the Monster Trucks refuel and re-tune for the next round, another Halloween-spooky scare will find the Megasaurus - the 35,000-pound Jurassic-age beast that chomps cars and flings fire - showing its stuff as it devours a sedan-sized snack.
