Join the Hamilton PTO Board!
Do you know that the children of parents who serve on PTO boards tend to do better in school? As luck would have it, several of our current PTO Board seats will soon be vacant as the children of these members matriculate on to high school. See the below image for more information on being a part of this important group. If interested in joining the Hamilton PTO Board, please contact
Hannah Renfro. Thank you!

Madeline Schaefer
School Counselor
Being a School Counselor, specifically at the middle school level, assures that each day is unique, which I love. I am honored to be a part of the process that grows students socially, emotionally, and academically to go from being elementary kids to high schoolers in three very short years. When I'm not at work, I spend as much time outside as possible. I enjoy soccer, biking, going to farmer's markets, and paddle boarding.

Boyd Snyder
School Counselor
As a school counselor I work with students, staff and families to meet the academic and social/emotional needs of our students! I go on travel adventures that include hiking and kayaking, but I also enjoy taking advantage of everything that Madison has to offer like live music and Badger sporting events. I'm looking forward to meeting our new students and working with them as we navigate middle school together.

Kathleen Doherty
Instructional Coach
In my role as Instructional Coach, I support all students by helping teachers facilitate differentiated and socially inclusive environments that use equitable, culturally responsive and rigorous curriculum in order to leverage learners' strengths in pursuit of academic, social, and emotional growth. Outside of school I spend as much time as I can stand-up paddleboarding, cooking, gardening, woodworking, camping, reading, making and playing music, flying kites and ice-skating...any of which are better when done with friends and family! Know that you're always welcome to reach out with any questions surrounding curriculum, instruction, or classroom environments!

Jill Speer
Nurse
I work with students, families, and staff to help ensure a healthy, safe school environment. I graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in International Studies and spent a year studying in Senegal, West Africa before deciding to go to nursing school in Philadelphia. I also taught second grade in New Orleans which is part of what drew me back to education. I love to travel, camp, try new foods, and learn new languages. This year will continue to bring a lot of unprecedented public health challenges. I am confident that as a team we can get through this!

Jamie Domini
Dean of Students
As Dean of Students, I work with staff, students and families to ensure that our school is a safe place to learn. I believe that we all make mistakes sometimes, but how we handle them, learn and grow from them is an essential part of the way I approach this work. I've lived and worked in the Madison area for most of my life. I'm an avid reader, love the outdoors and make some darn good pies. I am very excited to be joining he Hamilton community this fall. Prior to Hamilton, I served as Dean of Students at Middleton High School for 5 years and was the Positive Behavior Coach at O'Keeffe Middle School for the past 6 years.

Social Worker
As a social worker, I help kids and families access the resources they need to be successful at home and school. Partnering with others is the best part of the job because I get to meet so many dynamic humans. I enjoy being with my family, reading, and baking. If I can enjoy the outdoors with the humans I love, even better! I'm looking forward to seeing you all next year!
