Immigrants and the Labour Market in Hamilton

As one of HTAB's four partnership activities for 2010-2011

we partnered with the Immigrant Partnership Council to research labour market outcomes for immigrants and newcomers settling in Hamilton.  Consultations were carried out with a group of stakeholders.  The report produced highlights the necessity of aligning the skills of the immigrant population with the future labour market demand in Hamilton, and provides stakeholder strategies for reaching this goal. The second phase of the project has just begun.  Healthy Workplace Ambassadors have started visiting up to 100 local small business owners to share healthy workplace materials.  To schedule a visit to your business, or to receive materials by mail please call 905-521-5777 and ask for Cathy.
