Goods Movement in Hamilton

Did you know Hamilton is only one of a handful of Canadian municipalities that have all four modes of transportation within its municipal borders (road/rail/air/port) and is widely known as a true intermodal city?

The great number of transportation options, the connections to some of the largest markets in the world, and the capacity to receive large shipment of goods makes Hamilton one of the strongest communities in the nation in the area of goods movement. In recent years, Hamilton has benefitted and will benefit from major investments from Amazon, DHL, Cargojet and KFAerospace.

Adapting to the Changing World of Work

The 2020 Survey on Employment and Skills began prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The survey finds that Canadians tend to have a positive assessment of both the impact of technological change and the value of the post-secondary education and skills training that they have received. At the same time, many are also concerned about job security for themselves or their family.
