Hey Everyone!
I want to thank everyone, especially my friends from Holy Cross, for attending the first Hammond Organ Grooves concert at Churchill Grounds. It's truly a dream for me to have such great musicians and vocalists playing with me, and August was no exception with Dave Frackenpohl, Justin Varnes, and the lovely Laura Coyle.
Each night will be a completely different experience with different musicians and vocalists. For the September 9th session, I'll have the pleasure of playing with Jacob Deaton (guitar), Chris Burroughs (drums), and the superbly talented Maria Howell on vocals. Maria is an actress as well as vocalist and will be appearing regularly on the new NBC show, "Revolution" (I'm sure you saw the commercials during the Olympics!). She was also featured in the movie, "A Color Purple" with Oprah Winfrey.

The monthly Hammond Organ Grooves series, with the Matthew Kaminski Organ Trio and a special guest vocalist every 2nd Sunday of each month (except for this October, which is the third Sunday because of a scheduling conflict), takes place at the premiere jazz club in Atlanta, Churchill Grounds (next door to the Fox Theatre). The first set will run from 8-9:30pm, which will be early enough for those who have to wake up early on Monday ;-) The second set will begin around 10pm. Sunday, September 9th, sets at 8pm & 10pm:
