Dear Valued Y Member,

We are very excited to introduce Stage 3 of our reopening plans! We appreciate your patience, support and understanding as we continue to navigate COVID-19. Each decision is a small piece of a large puzzle with a changing picture in the face of a global pandemic. While some changes may appear easy to the outside eye, please trust there are challenges to each move and our staff is working hard to address each situation in a timely manner.

During this critical time, your membership is more important than ever. It is evident that individuals with access to health care and wellness options fare better with COVID-19. We are here to help you maintain your health, through in-person and virtual programming. Your membership helps to support our mission to strengthen the health of our community. In addition, your support provides access and equity for those who may not otherwise be able to benefit from Y services.

We sincerely appreciate your partnership during this challenging time. Please enjoy the additional services in Stage 3!
Aquatics Updates
The large pool continues to be the most utilized space in our facility. Each week, we are filling 347 lap swim reservations! We have adjusted our reservation system to allow members to register on Sundays for the week ahead.

Here are the new guidelines for registering for lap swim times, beginning September 27:

  • Registration will open at 8:30am on Sunday for the week ahead.
  • Sunday reservations are available on Monday at 8:30am for the week ahead.
  • Members are allotted three reservations per week for the large pool (you may register for the small pool in addition to your three swims in the large pool).
  • We will be relying heavily on the honor system.  Please remember the YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. If you register for more than three reservations per week, you will forfeit all reservations for the following week.
  • We will continue to evaluate and monitor this system to accommodate as many swimmers as safely as possible.
  • We will be adding time slots for lane sharing in the large pool in the coming weeks - stay tuned!
  • Please contact Nicole Seligman at [email protected] for more information.

Registration is now open for Fall 2 and Fall 3 session swim lessons!

We will be moving equipment out of Studio 1 and into the gymnasium on Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1 from 10:00am - 4:00pm. This will allow group exercise classes to once again be held in Studio 1 beginning the week of October 5, while the back half of the gymnasium will become our second cardio workout area. Members will continue to use the MotionVibe reservation system to sign up for all cardio time slots.

A new workout area will also be available for members to utilize beginning the week of October 5. Our former spin room will become the Functional Strength room, containing battle ropes, slam balls, TRX trainers, free weights and more. This area will have a capacity of five members per time slot, and reservations will be required on MotionVibe.
